for what it's worth, I ran across a book that could be helpful - I listed it on ebay before I noticed this thread or I would have offered it here first - here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300260719384 
It has pretty good discussions of tube biasing and curve plotting, and provides the equations you need, I think.  A second book I had listed is more oriented towards practical applicaitons, and as we know, nothing we do here is practical, right?
