Re: NST modification

Hello Ben.

This modificatio does not increase the output
voltage, just changes the ability to ground one
side and get the full voltage in reference to ground
without having the case at 1/2 Vout.
Besides, apart from some non-Tc related experiments
that can be done with the result, I am tempted to use
the word BS. Very work intensive, result looks like
it has fallen from a ten story building and with only
vague improvements for TC use.
Sorry, I really do not want to be unpolite, but not later than
the part with the bublele wrap and the bulged case,
my personal aesthetic sense was affected that badly,
that I will probably dream of this stuff for one week...

OK, all jokes aside. There are certainly good reasons
to do this, but there is no voltage gained in TC use.
The recified output will give you Vout * sqrt2 when
filtered, exactly the same as the peak voltage in a
AC charging circuit of a tc.
There is no voltage or even energy gained...!!!
The only way to really increase the voltage would be mor
sec turns or less pri turns.... but only theoretical,
there are other aspects to observe.
Or of course overdrive the primary a bit, which can
be done with some transformers.

If you have 2 15/30 NST's.. great, parallel them and
use them as they are, this will run very well!

best regards
