To add to the previous two comments. Not only does this not increase the
output voltage it increases the stress on the core insulation and could
result in failure of that insulation.

The bridge rectifier may also change optimum (max bang energy) cap size
(LTR) such that the bang energy is smaller than the usual (no bridge) value.

Also note that the bridge shorts out any positive voltages to ground. So if
you have no filter it will not allow the secondary to free wheel after
quench of the SG. Not that I recommend operation with out a filter which
would reduce the stress on the diodes and the NST and to some extent allow
freewheeling.
