This would work fairly well.. Especially if one were to slit the PVC pipe
down the length, making it easier to peel out from the inside.  Glue a
couple "handles" on the inside of the pipe to help get some leverage to
"pop" it from the default "butt joint".  The mechanical strength of the
epoxy/copper composite might not be as good as the PVC pipe though...  This
would work fairly well for bigger pipe, too..

One could probably do the same for "sonotube" (cardboard concrete forms)..
