I would disagree with the last statement. Commercial caps do work and work
very well (I have three CSI 60kv caps that
have been running for 4 years without problems). However, I have also
recently purchased Geek Group MMC caps for a
0.06uF cap bank. I plan to compare the two types at the same capacitance,
but I expect my commercial caps will run just
as well. It's the "what if's", "ooops", and "$$" which I think make the MMC
a better purchase for mainstream coilers.
