Excellent idea with the knife switch.  I loved the original 
Frankenstein when I was a kid, and I wouldn't be surprised if that is 
what got me interested in high voltage in the first place.  I have a 
bunch of big old multi-pole slate knife switches as well as an old 
slate power panel with early Weston meters and knife switches.  I 
have often thought that the old panel would make a great 
Wardenclyffe-era power panel with the addition of some hidden 
contactors (nice safe LV through the knife switches).  I think the 
contactors would also add a nice "thunk" when the knife switches are 
closed.
