[TCML] Re: Spark gap noise reduction



When tuned correctly, you should get more noise from the secondary than 
the spark gap.

Over-quenching can make a static spark gap lounder than it needs to be. 
This can be caused by electrode shape, spacing and air flow.
A good circular saw is quieter than a clunker, but they're still very 
loud. Same with tesla coils. I always wore ear plugs when running mine, 
even the small ones.
