I have two holes in the rotor (for 120 bps). On one side of the spinning rotor I point a sk2035a photo transistor through the hole on the rotor and on the other side the detector. When it spins sends a pulse to the scope which is triggering on line to a old transformer the other channel has the rotor pulse. Overlap the two channels and align. Works very well and is fun. Later on. -----Original Message----- From: Tesla [mailto:tesla-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Gary Gaspar Sent: February 15, 2021 12:49 PM To: Tesla Coil Mailing List Subject: Re: [TCML] sync motor Shuan yes it is a hard thing now to find. Can give problems finding the sweet spot. My comment had fun with strobe light & the SRSG with the sweet spot.
