Amazing how purdy a project becomes when you slow down a bit and think it through. https://youtu.be/ouKA676PWqI <https://youtu.be/ouKA676PWqI> > On Oct 9, 2019, at 12:07, undisclosed recipient via Tesla <tesla@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > They’re all parallel.. > One side of NST goes to the SSG then the 5M run to the MMC. > The other side of the NST goes to the other side of the SSG then the 5M run to the coil. > The coil is conical at approx. 25° > > > > >> On Oct 9, 2019, at 11:57, jimlux <jimlux@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: >> >> On 10/9/19 9:19 AM, undisclosed recipient via Tesla wrote: >>> I used 5 meters of GTO15 between the NST’s and the MMC and coil. >>> I have the SSG with the NST’s and then runs to the MMC and the primary coil. >> >> >> Are the NST+SSG in series with the C and the L? A rule of thumb is that it's 1 uH/meter. - you've got 10 meters of wire there. You won't get the full 1uH/meter, because the magnetic field of the two wires cancels to a certain extent. >> >> >>> Instead of the coil running as it normally does, I had to re-tune the primary down a couple turns. >> >> >> >> A 10 turn flat spiral primary is about 40 microhenries (depending on the spacing, etc.).
