Kind of curious here, could it may have been just a pressure build up of
the air trapped with also vapor that outgassed during curing from the
adhesive, when the coil was running from the inductive heating and losses
of the secondary. May have also started with a initially with a small leak
from pressure build up and got ignition from arcs which then travelled to
the inside and then...
