Thanks Dave, I was afraid that was going to be the answer. It looked viable on paper, but noise doesn't simulate well and I should have remembered that there is no "Off" or "On" in most SS stuff only "Low signal" and "High signal". OBTW my controller does have a 90A 600v contactor upstream of IGBT AC chopper power cell assembly. Good design and manufacturing practice...
