I requested a sample through Dolphs.com a few years back and found a gallon
of the stuff at my doorstep with a giant dent in it. I imagine it was
damaged in the warehouse and couldn't be sold, so lucky me gets the gallon
for free!
I'm not sure what their typical sample size is, but I'd try your luck first
and see what kind of sample they send you. Might be enough for a topcoat or
two.
To actually answer your question, I haven't seen it being sold anywhere
other than company direct.
