By way of example
If a 4 MOT system has a total leakage inductance of say 24Hy (i.e. 4x6Hy)
the Cp required to resonant (60Hz) with that calculates to 293nF. This is
very much in the ball-park of typical Cp's and my estimate for the leakage L
is very approximate. I believe there is lots of scope for MOT systems to
resonant with the mains supply and substantially alter the throughput by
presenting a near conjugate match to the transformers.
