HiTo gap the MOT's split the EI section and rejoined with "no more nails" with a shim of formica sheet to make the spacer.
Have played around with a system to inject DC thru the MOT while exploring the inductance using an AC waveform. From memory Total L is 10Hy (thats the 4 MOT stack) and saturation effects begin at a little over 600mA per core
