Hi Dave,
I just kept my eyes on the ebay listings
for caps like this. The ebay seller that I
got my .44 uFd, 100 kV rated units from
(surplussupplytx) has just recently been
listing some Maxwell pulse caps at fairly
reasonable opening bids ($60 to $100),
so you might check out the ebay seller's
page for this seller's listings.

Hi Dave,
Yea, that makes more sense now. ;^) However,
you can double or even triple the arc stretch of
a JL by placing a ~0.4 uFd-ish high voltage
capacitor (assuming 60 hz and 14.4 kV trans-
former output voltage) in series with your pole pig's
output to the JL rails. Makes for what we of the
Southeastern High Voltage Enthusiasts (SHVE)
group coined as "Arczilla".

The capacitor in series with the output of your
high voltage transformer will really put some "lead
in your pencil" for your Jacob's Ladder! :^)
