    Well, what's your definition of a bipolar Tesla  coil?
    Mine is "one that produces sparks off both ends  simultaneously".  :)
    Granted, the tuning may have been all out of sorts  for a "proper" 
bipolar coil, but while the bottom of the floating secondary was  blasting the heck 
out of the primary, the tuning was probably a bit off  anyhow. After all, only 
short wispy streamers were coming off the  topload during this event
