Really, I'm just trying to build a bullet-proof coil. My previous coils
have all used Sch.40 PVC pipe as secondary formers, but on this one, I'm
going to use sewer pipe, which is rated at "Gravity Flow". I'm guessing
this means that the walls are thinner, and I'm just a little concerned
about the effects that could have. I'm planning on preparing the
secondary in a way similar to what Dr. Resonance suggested in the recent
thread. I'll sand it down, coat both the inside and outside in spray
polyurethane, and add acrylic baffles sealed with silicone near the
ends. After being wound, I'll cover it in glyptal and possibly more
polyurethane spray. I'm just wondering if there should be something
else between the two internal baffles.
