Original poster: "Peter Terren" <pterren@xxxxxxxxxxxx>I found that PVC melts if using higher powers so I have used several layers of ?reconstituted mica sheets which can take a direct flame without problems. These are found inside every microwave oven as the covering of the port where the microwaves enter the cooking cavity. Very easy to remove. It doesn't drill as nicely but heating is not a problem. Direct light is shielded with red acrylic.
I used this on my 12kv 110mA coil. http://tesladownunder.com/Tesla%20display.htm#Tesla%20coil%20(Physics%20Dept)%202006 Peter
