coils are plexy, and spend many hours drilling, tapping and cutting
plexy. Spending a few extra $ for bits and blades is worth the cost. Cut
slow, drill slow, use H2O for a lube and the finish product will be

take a torch (propane) and round the edges of the cuts, warning this

I have a local plastics supplier that makes custom golf car
windshields for us out of acrylic. He actually makes lots of custom
products out of acrylic. They use a special set up with a small
torch running on hydrogen / oxygen to finish all the cut
edges. Looks beautiful. The idea of the H / O is to have no soot
deposited on the material. The torch head is mounted in a fixture so
the worker just slides the material past it. The rate of travel of
the material controls how much heat the acrylic gets.
