Hi Chris:

You didn't mention what capacitor size you were planning on.  And you
mentioned that you were thinking about switching between a SRSG and
static spark gap.  Beware that using a capacitor correctly sized for a
SRSG will be too big to work with a static gap, and a capacitor
correctly sized for a static gap will be too small in a SRSG and will
probably result in over-volting the NST.
