Mike,

Actually, Aerovox PX series low inductance caps are ideal for high 
current pulsed power applications - rail guns, electromagnetic 
forming, etc. They use kraft paper foil construction, an older, but 
very reliable  technology that delivers long life and high energy 
discharges. Typical ratings include 20% voltage reversal, and 100 kA 
per shot. These are comparable to the Maxwell "C" style energy 
discharge caps that I use for coin crushing.
