ONLY if the "transmitter" is coupled to "the distant receiving
transformer, which it isn't. The current just flows to the ground
within the immediate vicinity of the transmitter, "longitudinal waves"
etc. notwithstanding. Nothing flows in the distant receiving
transformer.
Since the measured Q of the Schumann resonances is so very low, any
power "trapped" in them would be dissipated in just a few cycles unless
prodiguous power were poured into the transmitter.
