Make certain you use the 942C series capacitors. The less expensive 940C are not generally robust enough for Tesla Coiling use. The 942s are "well" established in Tesla duty, and the only failures we've heard of were due to poor design/pushing ratings, or not using/setting safety gaps.

Hi again, i am most likely going to be ordering 2KV Cornell Dubilier
0.047 polypropelene film caps.  They are rated 1000V-3000V DC, now
does that mean ONLY DC or can you use them in tesla coil
