I haven't adjusted the primary tap since I finished intially
tuning it in last summer.The way my coil is designed, it's
somewhat difficult (but not impossible) to change the pri-
mary and the primary tuning dosen't seem to be that cri-
tical anyway. I can't see any detectable sifference in the ouput as
long as the primary is tapped to within a half-
turn or so of the "sweet spot".

Did you have to adjust the tap on your primary, when you decreased
the resistance of the ballast ?
