Hi Paul,

I got some of that heating rated aluminum duct tape stuff.  Just heavy 
aluminum foil with a nice rubber adhesive...  Then I dug into the stock at 
Home Depot for a nice piece of 4 inch by eight foot "dryer duct" tubing...

I just fiddled and taped the ends together with a connecting piece of the 
tape and smoothed it down.  You have to get a maximum of the adhesive 
surface worked into the corrugations.  I used paper towels to push it in...

Then you turn the messed up joint to the back while taking the pictures 
:o))))  But for FOIA act purposes, here it is in full view...

Best not to stress the duct too much...  Form the ends free, and get them 
to line up naturally...  Then just a little tape holds them all in place...
