Wow...., I hope you didn't pay that much for those caps. I bought two Maxwell .03 mF 35 kV pulse discharge caps for $50 each off E-Bay. I wish I had been participating on this list before I went and bought them. I had been away from Tesla Coiling for several years and now, as I'm sure you see from other posts, the "best" TC caps are the MMC (multiple mini caps) that are made from strings of lower voltage (approximately 2000 V) caps in series (which lowers the overall capacitance) and then these strings wired in parallel in order to get the capacitance back up. A really neat feature of this type of capacitor construction is that you can wire the parallel strings so that you can add and subtract individual strings in order to adjust the capacitance. From what I can tell, this is a real luxury!

I am also building a Tesla coil. I hope you lots of good luck. The people on this sight are incredibly nice and helpful. Ask lots of questions. I'm sure you will ask some I haven't thought of.
