Hi,
I have recently re-tuned my coil after going from a sphere to a
torrid. The toroid has a much greater capacitance than the sphere,
therefore in my case once tuned for the toroid, adding the sphere to
the torrid had only a small effect on the resonant frequency and I
did not have to re-tune to have both.

Spark length is just under 60cm and adding/removing the sphere has
little effect on the spark length.
Thanks
Chris
Thanks
Chris

I'm working on a topload toroid for my 8.5in x 39in TC.
I see some with a double toroid, I'm wondering if a bowl
supporting a toroid would have a similar effect.
Please see pictures at

If this seems acceptable I'll dress it up with aluminum tape.
What is your feedback?
Thanks, Mike K.
