You are grossly overstating the disposal problem, and
scaring a newbie over nothing. Intead of motor oil,
use drugstore mineral oil laxative to top up the
bottles. This oil is literally safe enough to drink!
If you must dismantle the cap some day, the saltwater
and the mineral oil may be safely and legally poured
down the drain. Also, only the top 3/4" inch of the
bottle neck has any oil in it. We are talking about an
modest quantity of nontoxic oil here. Get a grip.
