Hi Brad,
Use a 50 ohm 2W carbon resistor(no wire wound). Wrap 1 level layer of
#20 magnet wire. Soldier each end. This is all you need. You do not want
only an inductor in the anode lead. The R kills the "q" of the coil and
damps the parasitics.
