I bought a new 12/60 last year for experiments. I ran it stock with the
GFI intact, it did not like driving a Tesla Coil. A quick spark & shut
down. After pulling the cover and noting the reset button right under the
top cover, the GFI circuit was no where to be found on top. Off to the
outdoor grill for 1 hour of heat ( and the wife nowhere around) I found the
GFI at the very bottom opposite the 120 volt input bushing side. After
removing the GFI and connecting the primary to 120 volts, all was
well. The GFI circuit was in a carboard box with little tar inside of
it. It was a lot of work, I would not do it again.
