Hi Dan,

Actually, im using a cheap(?) radio$hack 400V 6A (i think!) TRIAC.  Its 
mounted to a small heatsink also from radioshack.  Make sure to keep the 
wires going from the tube cathode>TRIAC>ground, SHORT!  Otherwise you can 
kiss long sparks goodbye.  I think ive got about 6" of 12awg from the 
cathode and about 4" of 12 awg from the TRIAC to the MOT ground.  The Triac 
gets a tad warm but cools down quickly.  I use output 1 (or whatever the 
normal one is, that did not require extra resistors).  Sorry, i dont know 
too much about the triac.  I dont think it matters all that much anyway.
