	Either AC or DC can be (and are) designed for any
	desired loss.  (or, more accurately: efficiency).
	A little digging in design handbook showed that 10%
	losses is a usual starting point.

	(One can ALWAYS make them more efficient, that also makes
	them more costly, and getting past a certain point
	loses money....).

	Transformers are readily designed to exceed 95%.
	Inductors and caps are so placed as to use no 'real'
	energy: they are there to reduce losses.
