	I'd expect it to not work.

	The mag fields would excite eddy currents in the
	stainless, (due to conductivity, rather than magnetic
	(or nonmagnetic)) leading to huge losses and heating.

	If secondary form, It would arc over, in addition.

	Unless I'm misunderstanding...
