For the purposes at hand, tis the circumference (surface
area) as matters, what with hf currents flowing on the
surface...
Iron was (tho granted, not currently) used in lighting
rods, which operate in a similar frequency range...
Copper, etc, is better, stainless is likely not
so bad as might appear.
