Nick, let me interject as well . . .
First off, the response was to a post by someone who said something on the
order of, "who knows, perhaps tesla coils will someday be banned."
I then said that operating tesla coils in an non-sealed EMI environment is
illegal as stated by the FCC. I never said that it was illegal to the
extent where we should stop building or operating them. But it is illegal
no less and there is even a special paragraph in the FCC regulations that
concerns tesla coils, spark gap transmitters, and similar. . .
