BIG IGBTs
Original poster: "Marry Krutsch by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <u236-at-earthlink-dot-net>
Hi everyone,
With the recent talk regaring SS sparkgaps, and IGBTs in general, I
though you all might be interested in the following: C&H Sales is
selling an IGBT "module", consisting of a big transistor, and an
ultra-fast freewheel diode. They are rated 300 amps at 600VDC, and have
a recommended operating frequency of 25kHz (a bit low, but they might be
"pushed" somewhat).
They also have a dual IGBT module with two transistors connected in
series. The whole module is rated 400 amps at 600VDC, with no operating
frequency given. Just thought that I'd mention this.
Safe experimenting to all,
Winston K.
