For Terry's hypothetical 75kHz coil
Lets say 10joules per "bang" with a 1kV supply. 10J say at 100BPS is still
only a thru put of 1000W
Then C needs to be 20uF and L= 0.22uH. This would be a single 4" turn.
I suspect the primary design will be the challenge perhaps involving a flat
plate with a gap in or vertical sheet with a gap. Maybe two gaps, one with
the switching elements the other with the caps in it
The idea of a SS switching element certainly appeals.
