Safety gaps across a midpoint-grounded NST should be across each half to
case-ground, so each one would see half of the NST's 15kV output voltage.
A ballpark estimate would be about 0.2" each, assuming that the gap
electrodes are smooth and rounded, like small spheres or brass drawer pulls.

I'm laying out my perfboard for my NST filter which includes safety gaps.

The NST is 15kV.  What is the ballpark gap distance for 15kV.
My gap will be fully adjustable but i just need a starting point so I can
machine my board properly.
