Maybe a smaller cap will give better performance, if this is ur first coil,
just play around with it will you get better results, but also try using
tesla coil design programs as they can aid tuning. I recommend WinTesla, a
great design app. What are the specs on your coil anyways? Secondary height,
diameter, Primary type, diameter, height, angle, turns, Cap size, etc.
