Dood, just use some plastic 2l pop bottles, cut out the plastic so you get
a sheet out of the middle, roll a cap
gets ya a nice 2~5kv cap at rf, 20kv+ depending on how far you make the
edges of the tinfoil wide and don't care about it degradeing fast (low
pulse duty would work well) No oil needed, tho it probley would help it
last longer, price per cap: $0.40 (deposit of two 2 liter bottles)
Resulting capasatance per cap: 2nf to 4nf, Add 0.5nf if you roll electrical
tape tightly around the roll.
Make the rolls at most 1inch wide
Why does it change from 2nf to 4nf? depends how rumpled the tinfoil gets
while you roll it, very little will be about 4nf, sloopy will be about 2nf
