Take an example - a large pig coil tank cap, 80kVDC 0.07µF.

MMC with geekgroup caps - 19 strings of 40 would be required. 760 caps, at
$3 each that works out at - $2280. Excluding shipping.

Commercial - Brand new, EFO polyprop. $980. Excluding shipping.

Hi Dave, Terry, all,

Yes, no doubt, commercial pulse caps are more practical for
larger pole pig systems. And in addition to the $2280 price tag
for a piggie-sized MMC, you have to consider the time, solder,
and labor of soldering together 760 little capacitors! ARGH!!!!!
For NST and OBIT systems however, MMCs, are definitely
the best game in town for the average ameture coiler.
