RE: Practical limits

The final planning session for this October's Hangman's House of Horrors
concluded last night.
My 900W coil will be prominently featured as it was last year. The Haunted
Hotel Beauty Salon. High voltage hair dryers!

However, I was asked to try and reduce "interference" further as there was
some crackle picked up by the various business band Motorola radios used by
the security people last year.

It looks like its Faraday time down south!!
Lots of chicken wire...outside striking distance and grounded.

Regards

Ted

I ran my 15kv/30ma NST coil in the house all the time
when I lived in the UK, and it never hurt my computer
or any of my electronics for that matter. If it
concerns you that much, just shut off all your
computers before you run the coil or protect them with
UPSs. I'm presently running a 4.4KW pole pig system
on my house circuit without the benefit of a line
filter. The coil is in my garage perhaps 50' from
where I'm sitting. It bothers my wife sometimes when
she's on the cordless phone, but otherwise my
household electronics have not been harmed. Even my
poor electronic garage door opener, practically within
striking range of the beast, still functions normally.

My $0.02 worth,
