Here is a good basic into to working with plexi.  It is slant is toward
aquarium construction but still contains some good tips.

The best glue to use is acrylic solvent glue.  A company called Weld-On
makes the stuff I use.  It comes in thick and thin.  The thick is
plastic model cement.  The thin is like water.  You can also get a lot
of good advice at your local plastics supply house.  Look in your yellow
pages under plastic.
