Hard Drive magnets.

I wanna see this drive :) that's a SERIOUS magnet, I've gutted 300Lbs hard
drives (out of a 3990IBM and also an IBM AS400 mainframe) and never seen a
hard drive magnet that could lift 80lbs (though they WILL give you really
nasty blood blisters). I want a couple of those magnets....the fun I could
have :)

Before you go gutting out hard drives, look at the bottom. If there is a
little stepepr motor in the corner, don't open it, there are no useable
magnets inside (only a couple small ones in that stepper motor). You want
what is referred to as a "Voice Coil Actuator" type hard drive.
I've actually made working speakers form these. :) Really freaks out the
guests, lol.
