RE: 25kVA neon transformer
All,
This is not a power supply for neon signs and not current limited. It's part
of a device called a bombardier (sp?) and is used in the production of new
tubes for neon signs. This device is nothing more than a PIG with current
limiting. In fact some sign shops use a pig and an arc-welder for current
limiting in the configuration we are accustom to.
This ad said it doesn't come with the controller (read current limiter) and
the transformer was of a dry design (the only difference between a regular
oily Pig). Therefore it would be a very expensive, although pretty, Pig...

its really not a NST ... its more like a pig ( ummm hog maybe at 90
amps in)
it probably has a built in inductive current limiter ( not the typical
shunt type)
Scot D any of you Neon guys know more ? id like to know more:)
