Agree. I thought the implication of the original poster was that there 
was a non-self capacitance present at each stage but I must have 
been wrong. There is no requirement to have a toroid on top of the 
secondary and the extra coil is in fact its main topload (example: 
Tesla's CS machine). It is a given that there are intrinsic 
capacitances associated with each coil.
