I usually don't post to this list, to keep from stirring up this discussion,
but I will jump in here. My suggestion is that if you really want to try
this, find an expert (not me) that you can hire as a consultant to make sure
that you don't kill yourself. If your heart is set on trying it, it would be
worth hiring a professional to learn how to do it without serrious injury. I
don't train other people due to the liablity issues, but you might contact
Resonance Research or some other "Tesla for profit" business for training
prices.

Hey all,
once a coiler has mastered his art he just cant get
enough of steamers, sparks and arcs. He must go
further. Many coiler (wackos) like to insulate
themselves and get in contact with the secondary. Its
like playing Russian roulette. Putting their life in
hands of the skin effect. of course this can be done
w/o any harm if ur running a small coil. But what
about big ones???some people actually do it on 7KVA
systems...where should the line be drawn???
what power is acceptable for this kinds of
stunts...and what is not???How can one make the
judgement whether or not the coil is safe???
