solvent cementing PVC (and almost any plastic) can/will
induce stress into the material. this is especially the case when cementing
parts together that are already under "stress" prior to cementing (eg a end
cap that is a very tight fit over the tube prior ro gluing) a classic sign that
the solvent(or even the fumes) may be trouble is "crazing" a siderweb looking
pattern most often seen in acrylic cementing but is also a sign of possible
stress problems in PVC.
avoid allowing fumes to accumulate inside of tubes while the solvent is
evaporating... this will help some,do not force parts to be cemented..this will
help a lot
