MMC for a Tesla Coil

Hi,

I'm a Tesla Coil enthusiast from Finland and I've been following this list
more or less for a few years, have built a vacuum tube tesla coil. I've also
been wanting to build a "real" tesla coil (ie. traditional spark gap tesla
coil) for several years, but have never had the time for it. Now I'm trying
again...

I wonder where I could get the primary capacitor for it. I don't want have
too much space for the coil and I don't want to mess with oil etc.

So, I've been thinking of making a MMC. I can get Wima FKP-1 series
polypropylene caps (100pf,150pf,220pf,330pf,470pf / 1600vdc 650vac) for
about $0.3 each (when ordering 100+), brand new.

I'm thinking of powering the coil with two MOT's connected in series plus
two voltage doublers (something along the lines of Marco Denicolai's tank
supply: http://www.saunalahti.fi/dncmrc/tank.html )

What primary capacitor value would be best for me?

(By the way, I heard these mentioned Wima caps cost over twice the price in
the States, so if anyone wants to build a MMC, I can get the caps for you)

Tero Ranta (Finland)
