there are two possibilties - it's capacitor start, or it has a starter
relay. typically Black and white are the running leads. try putting 110 on
the run leads and then spin the shaft as fast as you can by hand (maybe wrap
string around it and spin it like you do to start a top or a lawn mower).
If it runs then you know that the other two leads are for starting. Some
dishwashers use a reversible motor, in which case one of the other wires
would be used to start it in one direction, the other in the other
direction - so a short connection of either red or yellow to the black wire
should make it start.
If you try the above experiments, make sure there is a good circuit breaker
or a light bulb in series with the motor for your protection - a 500 watt
bulb might be a good current limiter
